Cosmetics on Amazon: check the seller and selected offer

Read the selling details beyond the product-page title

On a marketplace, a product page and the selected sales offer do not always identify the same participant. For a cosmetic listed on Amazon, inspect who sells it and who dispatches it, then check size, shade and advertised condition. A brand name in the title or a branded-looking page does not by itself explain the item’s provenance.

Keep the evidence needed to investigate a purchase

Compare the reference with the manufacturer’s official information and retain the order confirmation and invoice. Inspect the packaging on arrival without drawing conclusions from one graphic detail alone. If something appears inconsistent, contact the seller and appropriate support services; a familiar platform name does not remove the need to examine the particular offer and business behind it.
