Halal hair colours: shade, formula and precautions

Generic haircare products illustrate preparation for a colour purchase without showing an actual dye shade.

Certification does not predict the shade result

Hair colour may be selected for its shade, stated grey coverage and compliance with a halal standard. Those are separate considerations. Iba presents henna-based colours with a halal certification claim; examine the individual shade, instructions and ingredient information for the precise product rather than transferring every statement across the entire range.

Plant-based colour still needs careful use

Henna or natural positioning does not remove the precautions associated with colouring products. Follow the stated directions and preliminary test, avoid mixing different dyes and respect the application time. A previous reaction warrants professional advice before another attempt, because halal status does not establish that a formula is free from allergy risks.
