Halal nail polish: certification and permeability

Do not confuse certification with the word breathable

A polish described as breathable does not demonstrate water passage in every condition through that word alone. Test method, formula and number of coats matter when interpreting a result. Information about an older polish should not be transferred to a newer UV gel without confirming that the evidence actually applies to that system.

Consult the documents and your chosen religious authority

Tuesday in Love publishes information about its UV gels and identifies HCSC as its certifying organisation. Read those statements for the exact system, including base and topcoat. This guide does not issue a fatwa: for ablution questions, take the technical documents and certificate to the religious authority whose guidance you follow.
