Vitamin C skincare: forms, stability and radiance

An illustrative cream texture accompanies vitamin C skincare without using colour to imply the product’s preservation status.

Different forms are not directly interchangeable

Vitamin C may be supplied as ascorbic acid or as derivatives selected to meet formulation requirements. Their percentages do not provide an automatic equivalence between products. Stability, the surrounding medium and tolerance matter alongside the results actually documented for the finished formula applied to the skin, rather than the ingredient name alone.

Preserving the product and noticing comfort

Close the container and follow storage instructions, since some systems are sensitive to air or light. Tingling does not prove that a treatment performs better. Claims about radiance or antioxidant action also remain separate from sun protection, which should come from a product specifically designed and assessed for that protective purpose.
